regular meeting information
KCSLUG holds a regular meeting on the second Saturday of each month. The map displayed here shows how to get to the meeting location. Our meetings start at 7:30 PM and are held at the Grace Baptist Church in southern Lee's Summit, Missouri. The street address is 850 SW 150 Highway. The church is very near the intersection of Ward Road and 150 Highway. On occasion, our meeting location or time may change. This website is the primary place to find out about such changes. KCSLUG is not affiliated with the church, but the members of Grace Baptist have been very kind in providing us an excellent facility in which to hold our meetings. We have full access to audio, video, and computer display presentation systems. In addition, there is a large ball field next to the church where we can set up telescopes for observing after every meeting, weather permitting. Attire for meetings is informal (t-shirts and sneakers are the norm), but we do ask that you respect the decorum of the meeting location and also ask that you do not bring food or drink into the church. Children are welcome and encouraged to attend. We do, however, insist that children be supervised at all times, especially when around telescopes and other equipment. Non-members are welcome to attend our regular meetings, provided they call Janet Emerson (at the number below) in advance to RSVP. There are special requirements and/or fees for non-members at off-site events. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to anyone.
